On a Friday Afternoon

Was out with my daughter this afternoon(she is six), and for any one with children, I know you are following where I am going. What do you eat when out and about with the kids?

We found somewhere. Somewhere that an adult with the pallete of a gourmet can take their little crumb snatcher.

Top Chef Spike's Good Stuff Eatery. I know that this is not news to many, nor was it my first visit. But it was the fist visit with my daughter and we didn't argue one time. That never happens, we always argue about food. Now she is a six year old but remember she is the six year old with a chef for a father, and has a really good mind for food. she once had an idead for avacado ice cream, But...... Her favorite restaurant is Chik fil a.

Anyway back to Good Stuff Eatery. I love this place. Not only is it kid friendly with a real adult feel. It is carefully, thaughtfully put together comfort food. I am syaing loud and clear " YOU CAN TELL THAT A REAL, TRAINED CHEF IS PRESENT HERE". And he was present on this day putting all of the orders together. This means something.

Maybe I am biased, but it is the little things that stick out to me. Little things like the dollop of sour cream, and the green onoins on he chili cheese burger. And burger spots in DC are notorious for either having a good burger, and mediocre fries, or vice versa. Never get the best of both, hell not even okay burger and good fries. Well not here... Awsome burgers, and great fries, and a few varieties. the Milky way Milk Shake taste like you are drinking a Milkyway.

There are certain foods in this country that different regions eat different ways i.e. hot dogs, pizza, and burgers. i say Good stuff is DC's burger.
